The Alliance Youth Hockey Association, based at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter in Euless for our first 3 years, moved our operations and training activities for the 2004-2005 season to the Dr. Pepper StarCenter in Valley Ranch, where we operated exclusively the past 2 seasons.

With the merger of the Lone Star Wolves into the Alliance organization in 2006, Alliance added another Home Rink to its offerings, with 2 sheets of ice at the Polar Ice StarCenter at the Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine, Texas.

In addition to the more than 6000 square feet we currently have at Valley Ranch, Alliance is pleased to announce that in the Fall of 2006 we will be adding approximately 1200 square feet of workout/training space and office area at Polar Ice in Grapevine.   At the same time, we will be renovating space for a new 14U Bantam AAA Dressing Room and showers at Polar Ice

We are also currently expanding our use of the Valley Ranch space, with the addition of a new 18U Prep Dressing Room, and a new 12U AAA Dressing Room.  Combined with the new 14U AAA Room, and the existing 16U AAA Room, each of Alliance's top teams at each age group will now have their own dedicated dressing room.

The Alliance Youth Hockey Association (AYHA) was originally established to provide an elite travel "A" program at the Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam levels.  Alliance's inaugural year, the 2001-2002 season, was so successful, that Alliance added a Midget team for the 2002-2003 season.

Since then we have continued to upgrade our offerings, both in quantity and quality, and we now currently field 15 teams at the A, AA, and AAA levels.

AYHA encompasses the "Alliance" of coaches, players, and parents to ensure proper player education and development to successfully compete at the highest level and maintain the integrity of the game of hockey.

The goals of Alliance are to continually work with the hockey community in the Dallas Fort Worth area in trying to improve and promote the development of hockey players.

The Alliance Bulldogs are currently leasing more than 6000 square feet of the Irving facility that was formerly occupied by the Dallas Stars NHL team, including lockerrooms, coaches offices, stick & skate repair room, player lounge area, and showers.

Most importantly, the space includes a very large training area complete with all types of training equipment, including free weights, plyometric exercise apparatus, and stationary equipment.  Alliance is currently in the process of planning for the re-configuring and upgrade of the areas to better serve their players, parents, and families.

Alliance has also moved their trophy cases and banners from Euless to the their location in Valley Ranch.   The trophy cases are located upstairs in the viewing area, where the public can see pictures of the current teams, as well as many of the awards their teams have earned in tournaments both here and around the country, including the USA Hockey National Championships in 2005 and 2005.

Plans are currently being finalized for hanging the many banners they have won over the last 4 seasons, with room to add more in the future.

Moving their operations to Irving gave Alliance a more centralized location to better serve their members, many of whom come from all areas of the DFW Metroplex.

The Alliance Youth Hockey Association is looking forward to more successful seasons as a new neighbor in the Valley Ranch area of Irving.    For more information, see Training Room and Conference & Dressing Rooms.
