Monday, August 1, 2005 Midget Major AA Tryouts Revised...
Due to the on-going process of the Valley Ranch ice schedules being modified, the previously announced additional Midget Major AA Tryouts for August 10th, 13th, and 20th are being re-scheduled. Once the new dates and times have been determined, an announcement will be made here on the Alliance web site.
Tuesday, July 19, 2005 Additional Midget Major AA Tryouts...
Alliance is now looking to fill out its roster for our Midget Major AA Team for the upcoming 2005-2006 season, so we have scheduled three (3) additional tryout sessions for this age group. There will be no cost to attend these sessions, and all current Alliance Midget Major AA players under contract are required to attend.
If you are looking to compete at the U18 AAA/AA Midget Major level while playing for one of the most respected coaches in the country (Cosmo Clarke), mark your calendar to attend these sessions which will be held at our Valley Ranch facility. Last season, this team won the Texas U18 Tier II State Championship and reached the finals of the USA Hockey Rocky Mountain District Championships in Phoenix.

The Alliance Coaches want to sincerely thank ALL the players that came out for the Alliance tryouts this weekend. Without all the players coming out, we would not have been able to see the levels of intensity and desire during the tryouts that we saw. The player choices were made very difficult by all the talented hockey players that participated.
If you did not make an Alliance team this year, please do not forget about us next year, and we hope that you will come out again for tryouts next season. We look forward to seeing you this next season and at tryouts again next year.
Squirts

Midget Majors
The Alliance tryouts for Midget Major players has concluded, and several players have been offered contracts, but the team roster is not complete. The Alliance Coaches will be scheduling another tryout for sometime late in the summer to complete the roster, probably in early August. Please check back here on our web site around that time to find out when it will be held. We appreciate all the players coming out and look forward to seeing you in August!
Thursday, April 28, 2005 Birth-year 1997 Tryout Change...
Due to a ruling just received by Alliance yesterday from the DFW Hockey Oversight Committee (HOC), 1997 Birth-year players are NOT allowed to play Squirt Travel Hockey in the 2005-2006 season unless they played Squirt Travel last season, 2004-2005. 1997 Players must provide evidence they comply with this DFW HOC ruling prior to being allowed to try out at Alliance.
If you are a 1997 Birth-year Player, have already registered on-line for Alliance Tryouts, and cannot meet this requirement, we will refund your $75.00 fee. We will be calling those 1997s that registered on-line to determine their status in this regard. If you are a 1997 and meet this requirement, you are certainly welcome and encouraged to try out for our Squirt teams.
Friday, April 22, 2005 Tryout Schedules have been revised...
Due to unforeseen conflicts, the Saturday Schedules for Tryouts coming up on April 30th have been revised. The Squirts and Midget Minors will be skating at Euless on Saturday, and all other groups will be at Valley Ranch. Also, because our teams will not be selected to be age pure, the PeeWee groups are now divided by A-L and M-Z, in lieu of by birth-year as previously scheduled. If you have already registered and now are unable to try out, please let us know, and we will refund your payment if already made.
We have also now posted the Alliance Tryout Procedures. Please review and be familiar with these procedures during the tryout process.

2005-2006 Alliance Bulldogs Coaches and Teams…
Alliance
is please to announce Teams and Coaches for the 2005-2006 Season. We will continue to build
upon the success we have had in the past at the highest competitive levels,
and introduce a new Development Program at the Squirt & PeeWee levels.
Our Midget Major and Midget Minor teams will continue to work closely with the Dallas Stars Midget Major AAA club coached by Dwight Mullins, developing and placing players in situations and competitive environments that will allow them the opportunities to achieve their hockey goals.
The teams selected will not necessarily be age pure, as the best players within the age division will be selected for the first Alliance team, with the next best group of players selected for the second Alliance team, regardless of birth-year.
All of our teams from the PeeWee level and up will play very competitive schedules, including Tier I AAA competition and tournament play, culminating with State, District, and National Championship play at the Tier Levels indicated below.

Jr. Bulldog AA Development Program: Alliance is also pleased to introduce our new Junior Bulldog AA Development Program at the Squirt & PeeWee levels. Alliance recognizes this as a critical age for beginning the proper development of the youth hockey player who has aspirations of competing at the higher levels when they get older.
With that in mind, we will have experienced Alliance coaches lead these teams in their development and competition throughout the season. Our Midget and Bantam Coaches will team together, 2 per team, to provide the coaching and training of these players in each practice and game during the season.

Tryouts for the 2005-2006 Teams indicated above will be held starting on Saturday, April 30th. Tryouts on Saturday will be held at both Valley Ranch and Euless. On Saturday, the Squirts and Midget Minors will skate at Euless, with all other groups skating at Valley Ranch. All tryouts on Sunday through Tuesday will be held at Valley Ranch. All age groups except U18 Midget Majors will skate twice on Saturday.
The number of players will be reduced following the last skate of each age group on Sunday, followed by additional sessions for the smaller groups Monday and Tuesday. Tryout fee is $75 for on-line registration and $90 at the rink on tryout day. To Register, click HERE...

2005-2006 Tryout Procedures…
Please be advised of the following tryout process used for the 2005-2006 Alliance Bulldogs tryouts:
q All Players must tryout in their own age bracket as scheduled except birth-year 1997 players, who are allowed to try out for the Squirt level.
q If you are unable to attend your assigned session, please contact an Alliance official or coach for different arrangements.
q Wear a plain jersey with ASSIGNED TRYOUT NUMBER on the back, and keep it for ALL TRYOUTS - you will not be re-assigned a new number.
q Players must check in at the registration table BEFORE EACH SESSION, prior to going to the locker room.
q There may be cuts after the first day of sessions (Saturday).
q Player selections will not be declared at the arena, but will be listed here on the Alliance web site as indicated below:
§ All player selections to return for Sunday will be posted no later than midnight Saturday.
§ Squirts and U12 will only skate once on Sunday, and final selections will be posted no later than midnight Sunday.
§ U18 will only skate once on Sunday, and returning selections for Monday will be posted no later than midnight Sunday.
§ For U14 players, check the website at 3:00pm on Sunday to determine if you are to return for the second session on Sunday.
§ For U16 players, check the website at 4:30pm on Sunday to determine if you are to return for the second session on Sunday.
q If your number is listed on the web site, you are to return for the next session. If your number is not listed, please do not return for any more sessions and thanks for trying out for Alliance.
Players chosen to play for one of our 2005-2006 Alliance Bulldog Teams will be notified by an Alliance Representative or Coach at any time during the tryout process, and will be asked to review and sign a contract.
