One More Billet Family Needed...
The Alliance Bulldogs
18U Midget AAA
is looking for a family to billet one more out of town player. The
Alliance Youth Hockey Association is looking within the hockey community for a
family that would be willing to provide a home for this player.
"Our
family has participated in a billet program (and will do so again this year),
and it does bring many rewarding experiences. Just helping a young player
develop and grow will bring many memories not ever forgotten. You develop a
binding relationship as the player becomes part of the family. To this day, we
still communicate with the young man we hosted two years ago, keeping up with
how he and his family are doing.
If you are interested and want to learn more about billeting a player in
consideration of opening up your home please contact me. I will get back in
contact with you and provide you billeting information as well as answer any
questions you may have."

Alliance Seeking Those Interested in
Housing a Bulldog Hockey Player...
With
the addition of our new
18U
Tier I Midget Major AAA team, we now have a few more
players that will be from out of the DFW area coming to
Dallas to play hockey. The
Alliance Tier I AAA program is looking to match our out-of-town student
athletes with great people who are enthusiastic about the great sport of
hockey, and would be interested in housing a skater during the upcoming
hockey season.
Many families
and players alike have benefited greatly from the “Billeting” process,
where a player from out of town becomes “one of the family”.
A couple of
testimonials…
“We have
now billeted an Alliance skater for two years, with plans to continue for a
third year. It was a new experience for us, that initially forced us out of our
comfort zone, not knowing Chase at the time. But any uneasiness was quickly
replaced with the positive addition of a new "family" member. We now feel like
Chase's family is just an extension of ours.”
…Ken & Debra Bonzo
“We were
hesitant at first, but the experience was great, and we became life-long friends
with Wes and his family. It was good for our kids to experience having another
person in the family, we all learned a lot, and had a lot of fun. We still keep
in touch with Wes, and have great memories from the year he spent with our
family.”
...Rick
& Joanna Hall
The type of
player that is willing to billet in order to further their playing career is
sacrificing the comfort zone of their own home, school, and friends to
pursue their dream. This kind of player is typically the type of
young man that you would want to have in your home.
If you have
room in your home to share, or if you are interested in hearing from a
family who has housed a skater in the past, please contact
Alliance Billeting. You may
also download the
Alliance
Billeting Handbook for more information about the billeting process.
