Dogs Drop Game 3 in Houston against the DJHA Penguins
The Bulldogs continued their strong play into the second and rallied quickly to score their first goal in the second period. DJHA’s momentum continued as they finished the period, scoring an even strength goal to take a 2-1 lead.
Both teams would battle throughout the third period but thanks to strong Bulldog goaltending, the game was always close and winnable. The Bulldogs net minder had 16 shots on net with 14 saves for the game.

Texas Attack - 8, Alliance - 2: The Bulldogs faced off against the Texas Attack 96AAA in their second game in Houston. The Attack jumped out to a two goal lead early in the first period. Alliance had several scoring opportunities but could not come up with a goal in the first period ending the first down 2-0 against the Attack.
The Bulldogs had several chances on the Attack net in the second but were unable to hold off the Attack. The Bulldogs allowed two more Attack goals in the second ending the second period 4-1.
The Bulldogs come out in the third when their D’man skates into the Attacks zone on a power play, shoots from the point and scores. Unfortunately the Attack team found the Dogs net four more times in the third period and the Bulldogs end up with an 8-2 loss against the Attack.
Houston Wild – 3, Alliance - 2: The Bulldogs headed south for the weekend to meet up with the leagues first place team the Houston Wild. As expected, players on both sides played with emotion and a lot of energy. The Bulldogs were able to establish the early lead in the first period with the first goal of the game. With the Dogs consistent goaltending and defense the Wild were shut out in the first period and denied ZERO goals.
The Dogs came out howling in the second and denied the Wild any scoring opportunities in the second period. With 12 seconds left in the second the Bulldogs spook the goalie and find the top shelf ending the second up 2-0 against the Wild.
Alliance continued to put on a passing clinic in the third period but weren’t able to finish off the chances. The Wild scored all three goals of the game in the third period. With great hopes of winning the Bulldogs continued to play as a team and to believe in each other in the third. Keep this up boys and believe you can win as a team and great things will happen.

Bulldogs Take Home a Win against Peoria Roadrunners….
Alliance - 3, Peoria – 2: The Bulldogs clearly came prepared to play coming out of the pack strong and continued to add pressure holding the Peoria Roadrunners A to only a one goal lead at the end of the first.
The second period the dogs showed their hitting and passing skills and came back in the second period and scored two goals one full strength goal and one power play goal. The second period would feature strong defense and goaltending by both teams and the Bulldogs would keep the upper hand with their aggressive style of play and dominate time and space in the Roadrunners zone. The Bulldogs determination showed at the end of the second period with the dogs up 2-1.
The Bulldogs did not let up in the third period and continued to put the pressure on the Roadrunners. With a power play opportunity a Bulldogs defenseman takes the puck down the ice and into the net putting the Bulldogs up 3-1. With 21 second remaining on the clock the Roadrunners scrambled back and scored but the Bulldogs determined defense stayed strong denying the Roadrunners another scoring opportunity. Determined Dogs take home a 3-2 win over the Roadrunners.
Bulldogs Cruise Past the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes...
Alliance - 5, Phoenix Coyotes – 1: Frisco was the site of this morning’s showdown between the Alliance Bulldogs PeeWee Prep Team and the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes 96. The dogs were able to find the net four minutes into the first period to take the lead on a full strength goal, but that would not be the last goal for the Bulldogs in the first period.
The Coyotes howled back at the dogs to score their FIRST and ONLY goal of the game. The dogs defense was just untouchable and with two minutes left in the first period the Bulldogs take over on a the power play and scored the next three goals to finish the first period howling past the Coyotes 4-1.
The Bulldogs hung tough in the second period denying the Coyotes any points. Both team traded opportunities but neither succeeded putting the puck in the net.
With the Coyotes suffering three penalties in the third period a Bulldog with a bang-bang play lasered its way through and found nothing but net. The Bulldogs take home a win on Sunday morning with 45 shots on goal and a final score of 5-1.

Bulldogs Show Determination against Austin Roadrunners….
Austin – 7, Bulldogs - 5: In their second game of the day the Bulldogs battled with the Austin Roadrunners. The first period both teams traded chances and goalies at both ends of the ice stood tall. The Bulldogs did a nice job of adding pressure and getting opportunities which ended the first period scoreless.
The Bulldogs stormed out and dominated the Roadrunners in the second period and scored two power play goals in quick succession. The roadrunners pushed back hard at the dogs and scored four goals to end the second period 4-2.
The dogs dug hard in the third and scored three goals. The Roadrunners managed to get a third period power play opportunity and the Bulldogs find themselves at the short end of a 5-4 power play. The Roadrunners convert with a final score of 7-5.
PeeWee Preps Take On Phoenix Polar Bears Early Saturday Morning….
Phoenix Polar Bears - 5, Bulldogs – 1: Alliance PeeWee Prep kick off Silver Stick Regionals early Saturday morning and came up against some good competition when they met the Phoenix Polar Bears 95. Though the ‘Dogs showed some good passing and team work they allowed the Polar Bears to take a two goal lead early in the first period.
A more determined Bulldog team came out in the second period, and though they continued to show great determination during the second period the Bears score on a power play and the Dogs end the second period down 4-0.
The Bulldogs determination finally reared its head in the third when Alliance used their passing ability and took advantage of a power play to start the period with their first goal of the game. The Bears growled back at the dogs in the third period to score their fifth goal ending in a 5-1 loss for the Bulldogs

Bulldogs Fight Hard to the end against the Ice Jets 95AA Team…
Ice Jets 95AA – 9, Pee Wee Prep -0: In a Sunday afternoon match up, the Alliance Bulldog Pee Wee Preps took on the Ice Jets 95AA team in NTXHL action at Valley Ranch. The Bulldogs stormed out and played a hard fought game. The first period ended with the Bulldogs behind 4-0.
Spirits stayed high for the Bulldogs as they came out playing hard in the second period. On a 5 on 4 power play in the second Alliance’s DOGS DAY defense hung tough with the Ice Jets denying the Jets to score on the power play. The Bulldogs come back on a power play in the second but were unable able to convert and end the second period 0-6.
The Jets scored the games next 3 goals to end the game in a 9-0 loss for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs never gave up, fighting hard through the end. With the fierce competition the Bulldogs showed we will see another great contest between these two teams later this season.

Pee Wee Prep displays STRONG SHOWING in NTXHL season opener against Dallas Hawks AA Team...
Dallas Hawks AA – 4, Pee Wee Prep - 3 (OT): In their first game of the NTXHL regular season, the Bulldogs faced off against the Dallas Hawks AA team and showed the character and competitiveness that will hopefully define their season. The Bulldogs score their first and second goals in the first period against the Hawks. The offense put on a fantastic display of team passing while the defense stood equal to the task. Alliance gate keeper stood on his head and denied the Hawks any sniff of the net.
With the clock ticking the Hawks come back in the first period and scored their first goal. The end of the 1st period the Bulldogs held a 1 goal lead (2-1) and a realization that they were in a Dog Fight. The Bulldogs still up by one and with two Hawks in the penalty box and a power play the Dogs end the first period with a 2-1 lead over the Hawks.
The Bulldogs start the second period biting at the heels of the Hawks with a 2-1 lead. The Hawks come back early in the 2nd with a power play goal which ties the game 2-2. With the Dogs holding their own the Hawks fly in and take a 3-2 lead for the first time in the game. This lead causes the Dogs to attack the Hawks and score a goal ending the second period with a tied game 3-3.
With a tied game at the end of the third period the Dogs are forced into a 5 minute OT. The Dogs come with courage and determination and fought hard to the end the game in a 4-3 loss for the Bulldogs in their first game action of the season.

'Dogs Looking to "Labor" for Championships on Monday...
In addition to the boys in San Jose, the 16U Preps, 16U AA, and 12U Preps (pictured to the right) remain unbeaten at 3-0-0 each, and each of these 3 teams will join the Squirt Preps in their quest for a Texas Shootout Championship on Monday. Big Opening Saturday...
The 12U PeeWee Prep Bulldogs faired good, as they won both of their games yesterday in Grapevine, winning their opener in the morning against the Dallas Hawks Prep, and then coming back to defeat the Texas Aces in the afternoon. For more pics of the 12U Preps in action, click HERE...
