Additional Tryout for Mites & Squirts - July 8th and 16th...

 

Additional Tryout Skates have been scheduled to fill out a few remaining spots on our Alliance Bulldog Mite & Squirt Teams for 2006-2007.   The teams already have goalies, so only skaters are requested to attend.   The sessions will be held at Polar Ice Grapevine Mills on Saturday July 8th and Sunday July 16th as indicated below. 

 

No pre-registration is required, sign up at the registration table at the rink 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time.  There is no cost for attending these tryout sessions.  If you have any questions or need additional information, please submit your questions by clicking HERE...

Alliance Tryouts Complete...

 

Tryouts were completed today at Valley Ranch with all the Midget teams being selected, and now all 15 Alliance teams for 2006-2007 have been chosen.  

 

There may still be a couple of spots available on the Mite team, and on one of the Squirt teams, so check back to our the web site in the next few days for an announcement regarding a possible skate for those age groups.

 

Alliance would like to thank all the talented young hockey players that tried out for our teams, and the abundance of quality players once again made our coach's decisions very difficult.   There were many good hockey players not selected, and we wish all players the best of luck in the upcoming season, and hope to see you back at our tryouts next year.

Alliance Tryouts Complete, Except for Midgets in June...

 

Tryouts were completed on Thursday night at Polar Ice, and now 10 of the 15 Alliance teams for 2006-2007 have been selected.  The remaining 5 Midget Teams will be selected during their tryouts in late June.

 

Alliance would like to thank all the talented young hockey players that tried out for our teams, and the abundance of quality players once again made our coach's decisions very difficult. 

 

There were many good hockey players not selected, and we wish all players the best of luck in the upcoming season, and hope to see you back at our tryouts next year.

 

 

Thursday, March 30, 2006    Midget Tryouts Scheduled to Begin June 16th…

 

The dates have been set when Midget (U18 & U16) tryouts will be conducted for all associations.  The U18 Tier I tryouts will be from Friday June 16th to Sunday June 18th, and the U16 Tier I will start Monday June 19th and go until Wednesday June 21st. 

 

The remaining U18 & U16 Tier II teams will have their tryouts starting on Thursday June 22nd and go until necessary.  The specific times and locations have not yet been determined, and will be announced as soon as those details are finalized.

 

 

Saturday, March 25, 2006    Alliance Announces Teams & Coaches for 2006-2007…

 

“The New Alliance Youth Hockey Association” is pleased to announce our teams and coaches for the upcoming 2006-2007 season, and the Bulldog family will be growing again.   With the purpose of escalating our foundation of development, expanding our reach across the DFW Metroplex and from the requests of many players and families throughout the area, Alliance will be fielding fifteen (15) teams next season, up from nine this past year. 

 

Much like seasons past, we will again house teams to compete at the highest level of Tier I & Tier II competition across the country.  New for this coming season, however, there will be four main additions to our program:

 

     #1 - Expanding our Tier I AAA program to house a PeeWee (12U) Tier I AAA team – coached by Steve Lamere.

 

All Alliance Bulldogs Tier I AAA teams aim to provide a place for the best players in DFW & the surrounding areas to come together at their specific age group & compete towards USA Hockey’s Tier I State, Regional, and National Championships.  For definition of Tier I vs. AAA, click HERE...

 

     #2 - We will be adding our new line of Bulldogs “PREP TEAMS”.

 

All Alliance Bulldogs “PREP TEAMS” will be in place for those players who are very close to contributing at the Tier I level, or who are being primed to make the transition to Tier I Hockey during the upcoming season or the following year.  The “Prep” teams will compete alongside our “AA” teams towards USA Hockey’s Tier II State, Regional, and National Championships.  

                                                                                                             

     #3 – Our highlight Prep team, the Alliance Bulldogs “MAJOR MIDGET PREP TEAM” – coached by David Fry.

 

This team will be the missing piece of the puzzle for Midget aged players still involved in Dallas Hockey.  We will concentrate on those players who may be a small step away from the Dallas Stars Major Midget AAA Program.  The team will spend the season competing at the Tier I level through an independent schedule of AAA events and showcases.  To culminate the season, the team will compete at the 18U Tier II level for USA Hockey’s State, Regional, and National Championships, and make a run at being the first Texas based team to win a National Title at the Midget level.

 

     #4 – The expansion of our successful Bulldog SQUIRT program.

                      

Alliance will furnish 2 Squirt teams and 1 Mite team this coming season.  The entire program will aspire to bring together a group of players who not only love the game but wish to benefit from the rigors of thorough skill development, concentrated small area training, and vigorous competition from one of the area’s most experienced and well respected coaches – Jouni Lehtola.

                                                                                                  

In gearing up for our try-outs and in continuation our long history of player development, the NEW AYHA is looking forward to working with as many DFW minor hockey players as possible this spring in our ALLIANCE BULLDOGS SPRING TRAINING PROGRAM.

 

As we begin to put our 2005-2006 season behind us and plan to begin the upcoming year, our spring training camp is a leading priority.  This year our camp will be designed specifically to focus on two main areas of the game – individual skill development & use of those skills in small area games.   Having all our coaches in attendance at the camp – and in close contact with each and every player will ensure everyone involved will get the best exposure to improvement in these areas.

Alliance Tryouts for 2006-2007…

 

Alliance is pleased announce that the DFW Hockey Oversight Committee has set the dates for when tryouts are allowed to start.  The specific times and locations will be announced as soon as ice has been secured for the different dates.  For ALL associations, the starting dates are the SAME.

 

All Midget Majors and Minors (Tier I & II) will tryout in late June, with the specific dates to be determined and announced later.  The Tier I Bantam and PeeWees will start April 29th, with all the non-Midget Tier II teams starting May 9th.
