Spring Camp Schedule Adjusted for RMD Development Camp...

Due to significant involvement by Alliance players and coaches in the Rocky Mountain District (RMD) Player Development Camp next week, the Alliance Spring Camp schedule has been revised.  This Saturday April 28th - there are no camp sessions for any of the groups.  For the Competitive Prep groups skating at Polar Ice - we have make up sessions on Monday April 30 & Wed May 2, same time and place as normal.  we will resume 3 vs 3 sessions on Sat May 5.

For the Elite Groups skating at Plano, they have the week off from Saturday April 28th through Thursday May 4th.   They will then resume skating in the 3 vs 3 sessions on Saturday May 5th, same time and place as normal.

Several Alliance coaches have once again been selected by USA Hockey as player evaluators for the RMD Camp in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Players selected by evaluators at the RMD Camp will be sent to the USA Hockey National Player Festivals for their age groups later this summer.  For a list of Alliance players selected at the Texas Affiliate Camp (TAC) to represent Texas, click HERE...

Camp Schedule Revised, Mites Added...

The schedule for the Alliance Spring Camp 2007 has been revised.  An additional group was added for the increased demand for Midget players.  Since Mite travel will now be allowed for next season, Mites have been added to the schedule as well, and we are accepting registrations from that age group also.

OPEN HOUSE

April 9th - May 26th

Due to the feedback we received from our Spring Camp last year, the Alliance Youth Hockey Association is pleased to announce our Alliance Spring Training Camp 2007, with a new and improved structure and layout.

During 3 days per week for six (6) weeks this spring, Alliance will provide the opportunity to train with our full staff of professional coaches to those of you that apply early.   The new camp design will provide programs for 2 different levels of training as indicated below.

Come train with the coaching staff that has sent 7 teams to the last 4 USA Hockey National Championships, 4 teams to the 2007 Rocky Mountain District Championship Finals, and 2 teams this year again to the National Championships.

Program #1:  Elite – Tier I Training Program

Created by Alliance’s top coaches – for DFW’s rising stars.

This program is designed to prepare our highest level athletes to succeed at the various showcase/prospect opportunities they may encounter over the spring & summer months ahead.”

....Chris Kostopoulos, AYHA Director Of Coaches

Exclusive enrollment - past Tier I players & future prospects.  Applicants will be screened by the Alliance coaching staff for acceptance into the Tier I program.  Items that will be a part of the Tier I program include...

  • Competition

  • Execution

  • Increased Speed & Pace

  • Decision Making

  • Skill Execution

Players may be moved up to the Tier I program or down to the Tier II program based on player evaluation after the training camp begins.  Applicants will be informed of their status of acceptance into the Tier I program a few days after their registration is received.

“If you have plans to attend any spring showcase or prospect programs, any Junior or Tier I try-out camps this spring – THIS IS THE PROGRAM TO GET YOU READY AND KEEP YOU READY, to have your best showing!”

Program #2:  Competitive Prep - Tier II Training Program

“Our prep program is specifically formed to help players develop higher overall speed & fine tune the core fundamentals of the game needed to elevate your on ice competitiveness”

Limited Enrollment - players who currently compete at a high level of travel hockey, and aspire to develop their game to the next level.  Items that will be a part of the Tier II program include...

  • High Speed Skating Development

  • Proper Skill Execution

  • Application of Skills to Game Concepts

  • Have FUN playing the Game

“With DFW Try-outs now taking place in June, it is crucial for every player at all levels to use the spring as an opportunity to refine skills, maintain physical conditioning & prepare to have an excellent try-out camp”

NEW in 2007 – “Alliance 3 on 3 Fantasy League!”

An essential element of all productive off season hockey training is the necessity for each player to enjoy their time on the ice – remember why they play the game and rejuvenate their passion for hockey.  This program aligned with either our Elite or Competitive Prep training will encompass it all – high level development, the fun of competition & the passion for hockey we all possess!

Each Saturday, as a part of each week's training for each program, the players will compete in a structured 3 on 3 game format.  This will allow the players to apply the skills and ideas they have learned during the week to actual game situation applications, while having fun doing it.

  • Limited number of players per session

  • Sessions for players born in years 1989 to 2000

  • Three on-Ice Sessions each week

  • One Off-Ice Training Session each week

  • Specific Program for Goalies

  • Opportunity to meet and work with the 2006-2007 Alliance Coaches

Pricing...

Registration will be limited to a specific number of players per age group, and is only available on-line via the Alliance web site.   Payments will be accepted by either on-line credit card or mailed check.

Full Amount is $995, with a deposit of $300 required to reserve a spot in the camp.  Spots will not be guaranteed until a deposit is received.  If you are registering more than one player in the family, each additional sibling after the first player will cost only $750.00, a $245 savings per additional player.

Camp Scholarship...

Alliance recognizes there is significant cost in participating in the sport of ice hockey in this area, and this year will offer a camp scholarship for one player at each age group.   Players at each of the Mite, Squirt, PeeWee, Bantam, Midget Minor, and Midget Major age levels are asked to submit an essay in the space below as to why they think they should get a scholarship for this year's camp.

The reasons can be in many areas, including their success in the classroom in the area of grades and academic achievement, community service work in their city on behalf of their school, sports team, church, or other reputable association or organization.  The younger players may be assisted in the essay by their parents as needed.

Each essay will be evaluated by the Alliance staff, and one player at each age level will receive a scholarship in the amount of their full camp price.  Deadline for the receipt of the essay will be Friday March 30th.
