16U Preps Nipped in Final after 5 OT Semi-Final Win...
16U Midget Minor Prep: In one of the most exciting games in Alliance history, the 16U Prep Bulldogs went to five 10-minute overtimes before beating Boise in the Semi-Finals of the 2007 Rocky Mountain District Championships late Saturday night/early Sunday morning in Frisco.
The game may have taken a little jump out of the their legs early in the Championship game against Arapaho, but the Bulldogs recovered to make the final game just as exciting. After battling back from an early 2-0 deficit to tie it 2-2 at the end of 2 periods, Alliance was staring at another OT game when Arapaho got the game winner late in the 3rd period to capture the championship with a 3-2 win.
