Wednesday, September 14, 2005 ALL Game Results are now Posted...
Congratulations to the Capital Centre Pride for winning the Motor City Cup by defeating the Rochester Americans 5-4 in overtime. The Pride had earlier eliminated the Alliance team 3-2 in a shootout in the Quarter-Finals. All of the scores and results from the tournament are now posted.
Saturday, September 10, 2005 Points System Changed...
We have received a change to the points system used to determine the place in the standings. One point is now awarded to the winner of each period, in addition to the previous stated 2 points for the game winner, 1 point for a tie. If a period is tied, each team is awarded .5 points. The points in the standings have been adjusted to reflect this change.

Tournament Rules:
1. Points for games
will be as follows:
A.
0 pts for a game lost.
B. 1 pt for a game tied
C. 2 pts for a game won
2. In case of ties, the tie-breaking rules listed will be used in the following order:
A. Head to Head
B. Goal differential (a maximum of 6 per game)
C. Fewest Goals Against
D.
Fewest Penalty Minutes
E. Coin flip
3. All games will be 3-16 minute stop time periods. Overtime will be played in the quarter-final, semi-final and final games only.
4. In the event a semi or final game should end in a tie, the tie will be broken in the following manner:
A. 4 on 4 for 3 minutes running time
B. 3 on 3 for 3 minutes running time
C. 5 player shootout
D.
Sudden death shoot out consisting of players who have
not participated in the 5 player shootout.
