Alliance Wins Dallas Cup U16 Tier I AAA Championship!!!

The Alliance Bulldogs defended their 2005 Championship, capturing the 2006 Dallas Cup Tier I AAA Championship Game with a 4-1 win Sunday afternoon over the Colorado Thunderbirds '89 in a tight game decided with tough defense, good penalty killing and outstanding goaltending

Both teams came into the final undefeated, and it was the first win this season over the 5th Ranked T'Birds in 4 tries for the Bulldogs, who lost to these same Thunderbirds in the final of their King of the Rockies (KOR) Tournament back in October.  This tournament was also a warm-up for the 2006 Rocky Mountain District Championships, as all 6 RMD Tier I U16 teams played in this year's Dallas Cup.  The 11th Ranked Bulldogs finish the tournament 5-0-0, and improved their overall season record to 27-11-5.

Chicago Takes Tier II Dallas Cup...

Congratulations to the Chicago Flames, Dallas Cup Invitational 2006 Tier II AA Champions, 3-2 winners over the Houston Wild  in a very close and competitive Championship Game Sunday afternoon at Polar Ice in Grapevine.  The Flames, coming into the tournament Ranked #1 by the National Hockey Rankings web site, went undefeated for the weekend at 5-0-0.
